On December 18th at 5:13 a.m., our friend Amy Nelson Hill had their little bundle of joy and named her Iris Adelaide Barlow Hill. Amy did great through the delivery, though they eventually, due to some minor complications, needed to give her some anesthetic that was stronger than the typical epidural, and her husband John was right there by her side the whole time. 
We ventured up to Kalamazoo in the afternoon to wish them well, take John a 2 liter of Diet Mt. Dew, and sneak a quick cuddle with little Iris. She sure is a cutie, and they are all back home now doing well! Welcome to the world, little girl! You have great parents!!!
