So we decorated the tree... or rather, attempted to successfully coordinate two "lightning bolts on a leash" as the excitement level converted to electricity could have powered a small metropolis for a month.Finally decked in gold garland with ornaments of every sort, substance and color hanging from its plastic branches, we stuffed the cadre of presents under the base and are now just awaiting the sloooooooooow (er... at least in the minds and counting of said "lightning bolts") approach and arrival of Christmas Eve/Day before the packages will be suitably laid bare and plundered.
